കോവിഡ് പോസിറ്റാവായതിനെ തുടര്‍ന്ന് ചെന്നൈ ഒമന്‍ധുരര്‍ ആശുപത്രിയില്‍ ചികിത്സയില്‍ കഴിയുന്ന നടന്‍ നിതിഷ് വീര മരിച്ചു. 45 വയസായിരുന്നു. ഇന്ന് പുലര്‍ച്ചയോടെയായിരുന്നു മരണം. ധനുഷ് നായകനായി എത്തിയ അസുരന്‍ എന്ന ചിത്രത്തില്‍ പാണ്ഡ്യന്‍ എന്ന കഥാപാത്രത്തെ അവതരിപ്പിച്ച് ശ്രദ്ധ നേടിയിരുന്നു.
സെല്‍വരാഘവന്‍ സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത പുതുപേട്ടയിലൂടെ 2006 ലാണ് നിതിഷ് അഭിനയത്തിലേക്ക് ശ്രദ്ധ നേടുന്നത്. തുടര്‍ന്ന് സിദ്ധാനൈ സെയ്, വെണ്ണില കബടി കുഴു തുടങ്ങിയ സിനിമകളും ശ്രദ്ധേയമായ കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളെ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചു. രജനീകാന്തിന്റെ കാലയിലും താരം അഭിനയിച്ചിരുന്നു. കരിയറില്‍ മികച്ച നിലയില്‍ നില്‍ക്കുമ്പോഴാണ് താരത്തിന്റെ അപ്രതീക്ഷിത വിയോഗം. പുതുതായി ആറ് ചിത്രങ്ങളാണ് താരത്തിന്റേതായി പുറത്തിറങ്ങാനുള്ളത്. വിജയ്‌സേതുപതിയുടെ പുതിയ ചിത്രമായ ലാഭത്തിലും ശക്തമായ കഥാപാത്രമായി നിതിഷ് എത്തിയിരുന്നു.
